We have some more fun events in the works. For now, we have something smaller (then before — read in the room Visual Assembly as a Care Unite), but more frequent!
At our recent Gentrification Cage Match event, we chalked up a pops. The chalk represented the midtown of our collective dreams. Old, young, middle-aged: everyone was drawing. The building manager washed it all away. This was devastating. The skyscrapers are looming, but we can loom back. If we draw it, it can climb up and defeat the monochrome towers.
See potential in New York, and think we aren’t quite hitting the the notes we could hit? Re-imagine New York with us. Every week, we will decide together what’s missing, then bring it into chalky existence. Become Robert Moses’ worst nightmare!
(Almost) Every Friday this summer, we are bringing the chalk. All we need from you is your understanding of the city, your doodling abilities, and a desire to use our state-of-the-art chalk protractor.
