On February 12th, David Graeber’s birthday, Nika Dubrovssky will facilitate a Visual Assembly at MayDay Space in Bushwick, NYC.
This Assembly will be a continuation of the gathering held at the Interference Archive in November 2024. This time, we will not start from scratch but build upon the work already created—filled with the thoughts and drawings contributed by participants during the last assembly.
It was during this event at the Interference Archive that it became clear the most important aspect to preserve (and archive) are the ideas generated by the participants themselves. After all, there are so few spaces in our society where people can truly listen to one another and form shared perspectives.
This is our first go to explore how to build upon previous efforts and integrate the contributions of different participants into a shared, evolving project.
We plan more Assemblies in NYC in the beginning of the year — keep an eye on our social media for more updates!
If you want to join the event at MayDay Space, or propose to host an Assembly at your space, send us an email at info@a4kids.org.
All events are open to everyone and free of charge. However, given the limited capacity of the space, please only register for the event if you for sure you will be attending. See you soon!
