Elke Krasny is a cultural and architectural theorist, urban researcher, curator, and author. Her work is focused on architecture, contemporary art, urbanism, feminist museology, histories and theories of curating, critical historiographies of feminism, politics of remembrance, and their intersections. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Reading and is Professor of Art and Education at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Her scholarship and her international lectures address ecological and social justice at the global present with a focus on caring practices in architecture, urbanism, curatorial work, and contemporary art. In 2011, Krasny received the Outstanding Artist Award – Women’s Culture.
