The series of meetings will begin in September 2024 and will take place every first Thursday of the month, each time facilitated by a new host.
On May 23rd, we will host a pre-launch event of the programme discussing an essay that does not feature in the collection, but is considered iconic — Of Flying Cars and the Declining Rate of Profit. This will be a collective reading group because this essay also touches on the key concepts that David explored: technology, economics, and most importantly, the social imaginary.
Later in May, we will unveil our programming plans for the new season which begins on September 2nd, to mark the date of David’s passing away. The opening meeting will be devoted to David’s essay about his mom, Ruth Rubinstein, and will be led by Dyan Neary who was a long time David’s friend and knew Ruth well.
